Subodh Gupta (born 1964, India)
As an homage to India’s famous leader of peace, Mahatma Gandhi, Gupta uses steel and worn brass domestic utensils—his signature style—to form a soldier, a terrorist, and a man wearing a gas mask to represent Gandhi’s three monkeys together preserving the Japanese proverbial principle of “See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil.”
