Join educator, artist and illustrator Charlene Kasdorf in an illustrative process of building visual characters for contemporary applications.

This creative and playful process is inspired by Charlene’s research of regional children’s books in the archives of the Liwan library, particularly the aesthetic qualities that characterize their illustrations.

The workshop will begin by examining original books from the Liwan Archive, analyzing them and their library context. Participants will then engage in drawing and creating their characters and imagining contemporary realities for them.
