Creating Sculptures Using The M-OTTO Puzzle System (13 DEC)

M-OTTO is a plastic connection, a little two-dimensional creature that wants to become 3D. M-OTTO can only do that by cooperating with other M-OTTOS. Through the OTTO puzzle, one can create infinite combinations of structures with an embrace that needs no other binders. Create lamps, tables, furniture, and even apparel. The ultimate tool to express your ideas, with M-OTTO, the sky's the limit! The workshop will be divided into a brief presentation of the product's potential and a practical demonstration involving the participants. High school students will be engaged more playfully, while designers will focus on developing forms and ideas to assemble a portable lighting fixture. Elements will be eventually painted in maroon to celebrate Qatar National Day. The workshop will be led by Marco Bruno, an Italian designer and Associate Professor at VCU-Q and co-founder of MOTOELASTICO, a Space Lab based in Seoul (South Korea) and Doha. This workshop is suitable for kids above 12 years of age. This workshop is part of our offerings to celebrate Qatar National Day.
