Part of the Years of Culture Indonesian Workshop Month, this dance workshop will give women in Qatar the opportunity to discover the Indonesian art form of Tari Merak, a traditional dance from West Java. 

will begin with a demonstration of the Tari Merak dance (also known as the Peacock Dance), followed by an explanation of its history and the philosophy behind it. 

Participants will then get to interpret the dance themselves, learning a guided choreography of dance movements.

No prior dance knowledge is required and all levels are welcome at this workshop in Doha. Participants are advised to wear comfortable gym clothes.
